This quilt was made as a wedding gift for my son, Kevin and his wife, Mandy. It was a challenge for me in that it had curved piecing. The center medallion, also known as the Pickle Dish pattern, was paper pieced and set on point. The four-petal flower blocks on the outer corners of the quilt as well as at the points of the medallion were hand appliquéd. I loved being able to use a lot of fabric from my stash in the detailed borders around the central focal point of the medallion. She loved the bright colors.
