This quilt was made as a wedding gift for my son, Kevin and his wife, Mandy. It was a challenge for me in that it had curved piecing. The center medallion, also known as the Pickle Dish pattern, was paper pieced and set on point. The four-petal flower blocks on the outer corners of the quilt as well as at the points of the medallion were hand appliquéd. I loved being able to use a lot of fabric from my stash in the detailed borders around the central focal point of the medallion. She loved the bright colors. Jocelyn Marzan, from The Cotton Patch, quilted it.
