This scene is a compilation of beach memories, from a sunset wedding, to taking my daughter, Serenity, to play in the sand at Christmas time. The boardwalk was pieced then fused down over a pieced background. Thread painting created the ocean foam, metallic thread was used to show light reflecting on the water and hand embroidery shows the many grasses of the lush Island.
