Golden Yellow---not yellow orange, greenish yellow, or lemon yellow--- and not one of my favorite colors, I thought when I opened the bag. I brightened, thinking it was an opportunity to buy more fabrics. I came home and began a stash search, separating into piles of pure color, tints, and tones. I am embarrased to admit I came up with 92 possibilities in all sizes, from batiks, my hand dyes, gifted and purchased hand dyes, and commercial prints. Now to find a pattern. I enlarged a Ruth McDowell pattern but used my own techniques. This compliments a leaded glass window my husband made with yellow roses as we built our house almost 50 years ago, and the 2 dozen rose bushes growing in our garden.
